Shared by Huaining Steel Structure, a steel structure manufacturer in Jiangsu: How to Make Better Use of Steel Structure Products

Shared by **Huaining Steel Structure**, a steel structure manufacturer in China: Welders should inspect whether the welded components meet the standard requirements. Only after passing the inspection can the next process be carried out. The welding connection quality is critical in steel structure engineering. Employing experienced welders helps effectively control all construction details and ensure the connection quality of the overall structure meets the standards, so that the steel structure connections can satisfy practical requirements. Steel features high strength and sufficient ductility. Compared with concrete and wood, steel has a relatively low ratio of density to strength. Therefore, under the same load conditions, steel structures feature smaller cross-sections, lighter weight, and convenient transportation and installation. They are suitable for large-span, high-rise and super heavy-duty structures, and perform well in resisting impact loads and seismic action. The internal microstructure of steel is uniform and nearly isotropic, resulting in high reliability of steel structures. During service, the paint coating on the structure must be maintained, and its condition should be checked regularly. When the coating no longer provides effective protection, oil and contaminants shall be removed, and the old paint shall be scraped off and repainted to ensure the corrosion resistance of the building. The structure must not be modified without approval. Unlike concrete structures, light steel structure members are integrally connected, so bolted connections must not be disassembled. Deformation, damage, dents and other defects on steel members will lead to reduced cross-section, member distortion and connection cracking. Problems may occur during the whole production and construction process, including errors in design, procurement, fabrication, on-site construction, as well as illegal or improper operation. Improper storage or use of chemical materials on site may cause chemical corrosion and electrochemical corrosion, which will reduce the cross-section of steel members. Overloading, changes in production conditions and excessively long production cycles during fabrication and construction will also reduce the load-bearing capacity of steel structures.
